Every field sketch, finished CAD.

Every business has field sketches that need to become CAD files. NSCC turns hand sketches and redlined prints into finished, client-standard CAD drawings.

Send us the sketches your field crews make on paper and the redlines your engineers mark on old prints. We send back clean, finished drawings in your own symbols, layers and title block, ready to file or hand to your client. No backlog waiting on a drafter, and nobody redrawing by hand. Your team stops redrawing and starts inspecting.

What you send, what you get

Bring what the field gave you.

Pencil on an iso grid form, a scan of a marked-up print, a phone photo of last year's revision. You get back drawings your team can file.

InYou send

  • Hand sketches on iso grid field forms.
  • Redlined prints of your existing drawings.
  • Scanned PDFs, single or multi-page, or JPG and PNG scans and photos.
  • Black and white or colour. Markups don't need to be red.
  • Faint, rotated or photocopied pages are fine. Anything unclear comes back to you as a question.

Letter-size field forms are the proven case. Ask us about other sheet sizes.

OutYou get

  • DWG (AutoCAD 2018 by default, older versions on request) and DXF.
  • A print-ready PDF of every drawing.
  • A separate review PDF that marks any open questions, so the drawing itself stays clean.
  • 11x8.5 landscape sheets at true size.
  • One sheet per sketch page, and one drawing per equipment name.

  3. 3The same work, over and over.Identical tanks and repeated sections redrawn one sheet at a time.

Your standards

Your drawings, your way.

Every sheet follows the standard you already use. Here's what you set, and what we need to start a job.

SetYou control

  • Your own block library.
  • Layers, line types and text matched to your finished drawings.
  • Title block content and where your logo goes.
  • Revision and date rules.
  • Your naming standard, with one drawing per equipment name.

StartTo start a job

  • The sketches or redlines.
  • Customer and site name for the title block, confirmed on every job.
  • Your CAD standard, if you have one.
  • Two or three finished drawings as a style reference.
  • A contact for drafting questions.
